The new rebranded Scottish Schools Digital Network was launched at the SETT conference in Glasgow and I am delighted to say that I am to be one of the nationally trained mentors. My authority is one of the pilot authorities, so I am looking forward to exciting times ahead.

Still feel very unsure if I am continuing in the correct vein! Find blogging a strange process as I was never one for keeping diaries. My secondment continues at the moment, funded by Determined to Succeed. The team of which I am part is due to disband in June and we are all praying for an extension. Have heard of many other similar teams or Enterprise officers whose secondments are now in their third year so we are hopeful! Really enjoying this experience beyond the classroom and would love to be allowed to pursue it further.

Posted first entry to my blog this morning and by lunchtime I had one email from a colleague. Success! Can’t believe it. Have already got my buddy Teresa logged on and shall be passing the new blog for EALs/EFL staff onto their team leader.
Great start! Cheers.
Hello there!

Definitely a blogging virgin, so here goes with my first posting. I am a primary school teacher in East Dunbartonshire, Central Scotland, currently seconded to the Determined to Succeed Team with a responsiblity for ICT development, hence the blogging!!
Not quite sure how this will work but look forward to hearing from any colleagues who have been involved in delivering training in blogging to fellow teachers and teaching staff. It falls to me and my colleague, Teresa, to bring our staff into the ‘light’ and make them aware of new technology and to encourage them to use it, so all advice will be welcome.
This site was recommended to me by John Johnstone from Sandaig Primary in Glasgow. If you have not visited their website I would encourage you to do sol. Amazing! Blogging and Podcasting and highly motivated and competent pupils! www.sandaigprimary.co.uk
Cheers!
